  • Thought I should let you know that disney bought studio ghibli. Not that I dont like these movies, I love them. But Disney is kind of an ass.

    • Disney did not buy Studio Ghibli. They have worked with Studio Ghibli on a few projects but they certainly did not buy them out. Miyazaki wouldn’t sell out his life’s work to a major corporation. He is a person who is built on artistic integrity and full immersion of his audience by portraying a plethora of different levels of depth in emotion and plot. He would not place that kind of artistic responsibility on a company such as Disney. When Marnie was There, which is his newest work, as well as The Wind Rises were not worked on by Disney at all. If he had sold out to Disney (which, the first film he worked on with Disney was Ponyo, before either of the aforementioned films) then why would Disney not credit themselves in those two films?
To say that Miyazaki would sell Studio Ghibli to Disney is a pompous and slanderous statement.

    • Its a really great movie but like the other movies ghibli almost never makes a sequel, they like to leave the rest to the imaginations of its viewer.

  • This is a captivating & heartwarming movie. I highly recommend this. It only proves that Friendship knows no boundaries! I’ve watched other Ghibli movies and they’re all great. So far, this is one of my favorite. Thanks a lot!

  • Its not a Disney film, its made by a Japanese company called Studio Ghibli and is originally in Japanese with an English voiceover. Studio Ghibli make lots of amazing films including ponyo, spirited away and Howl’s moving castle, you should definitely check them out if you like this film.

  • I love how this movie resembles the Japanese anime style. I also like how the story line is different from most movies. You can tell how Arrietty and Sean slowly turn to love each other by the end on the movie and how, Stiller was it, was jealous of their connection. Anyway, GREAT movie! Personally, this is one of the best movies Disney have made.

    • You are misguided .. This is originally made by Studio Ghibli .. A japanese network .. And the sounds are originally japanese … So yeah this is an anime movie … Disney adapted it coz they were so fascinated about how amazing this movie was done .. =D Just stating facts.

      Other amazing anime movies:

      Howl’s Moving Castle
      Castle in the Sky
      Whisper of the Heart
The Girl Who Leapt through Time
… and so much more.. Just google it =D
