  • you guys, don’t understand what’s the problem with this movie(or with most book based movies) they are nothing more than a hastened revision of the book….it’s as if i tried to tell someone what the book was about after 20 years after i read it and i mess up the time line and mix it with other movies or books 😛

  • theres tons of movies that doesnt follow the same plot of what the film is based on just get over it even resident evil movies are successful and turned into a billion dollar franchise without following the games and besides 80% of resident evil games are trash

  • Movie is a movie but… Everything was different it seemed like. Za’roc never went to fire like brisingr did for one thing. And, Eragon’s uncle didn’t die right away, he died after like a month or something. And what happened to Brom getting killed by the Ra’Zac? Seriously! I read four Eragon stories in one month and look this movie up, only to find everything all messed up! But still, thanks for posting this movie on this site. 🙂

  • The movie got it all wrong, even the small details. Roran doesn’t leave til after the egg hatches, Sloan doesn’t die, Roran’s in love with Kattrina, He goes to work in a neighboring town, Saphira is named by Eragon, and she only gets that big after a couple months. It even skipped one of the funny parts, where Eragon thinks she’s a guy.

  • The movie was excellent! I agree, I do think that the movie got some of the details from the book wrong. I would love to see the rest of the Inheritance cycle and would suggest reading them. Eragon was a blast! Thanks you so much!

  • Great movie! I loved all of it, but the movie did not have all of the details that the book “Eragon” had in it. If there are more movies in the Inheritince cycle, I want to see them on ffilms.
    The book order goes:
    Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr, Inheritance

  • This movie honestly makes me want
to commit suicide. It is just plain terrible in every single aspect. Farthen dur is supposed to be jewled and elegant not some jungle nigger habitat with ajihad looking like some gorilla ass spear chucker. And arya was known for her deep black hair and distant secluded personality, but in the movie shes giving orders like a fucking general. What else, the razac look like aliens from star wars, and the urgals look like fat munchkins with 5$ face paint from k-mart. My point is, the movie is just terrible and even thinking about it makes me tremble in anger.

    • saphira grows up way to fast and her voice is wrong. she grows gradually with voice and fire coming in time. she is supposed to have spikes on her back where eragon sitts behind. Eragon doesn’t see brom die because saphira takes him up before that. The house burns down. Brom and Galbatroix don’t know who has the egg or when it hatches to start. I love the books for saphira and seeing them misuse her makes me want to cry. I bought this movie before I watched it and it is aweful. And I’m only 30 minutes in

  • its pretty dumb u know, everyone comparing the movie to the book, I mean there must be rarely be any movies that actually follow the book(that is if they have one) like harry potter was pretty good, but quite different from the book, to those who have not read the book, this movie is pretty interesting, and if u have read the book don’t compare the movie to it

    • harry potter is a good movie, and it doesn’t exactly follow the follow the book, but they just miss details. In Eragon, on the other hand, they screw up the entire plot!!
Murtagh makes a HUGE deal about not going to the Varden, Aria is in a coma the entire time it takes them to get to the Varden and Murtagh din’t really help them get to the Varden, the battle happens like, a month after Eragon gets there(an aria is STILL in a coma until about a week later!), aria teaches him swordsmansip, she doesen’t leave after the battle, the raz’ac have hoods with becks underneath, and thats just skimming the surface. If you have read the book, do NOT watch thiss, it will just disappoint you.

  • I don’t think the movie is supposed to be faithful to the book. Other than the concepts and characters, almost nothing is the same. I don’t think anyone should base how good it is off of that. It’s not supposed to be like the book.

  • I actually quite liked the movie. They had some parts that were a bit dull, but all in all, it was some great acting.

    • I agree highly I don’t care for if a movie needs to follow a book of it I go off of me liking the movie and if I read the book then great but I don’t go and start bitching about it get over it if it was a disaster then how did it get the attention of millions of people tell me why when you found out.

  • The movie is good if you haven’t read the book, if you have and compares them, the movie is very very bad. But if not, the movie is pretty good. SOme of the things I dont like is that Brom’s dragon actually was called Safira to, and Eragon named Safira, she wasn’t called Sadira all the time. And Eragon thought Safira was a male in the start, but when he started trying to find a name, she shook her head for male ones, they actually agreed on which name she was going to have.

  • Well, the movie is NOTHING like the book, to me. What about the scar of Durza’s blade? The Star Sapphire? Orik? He was in there, but it did not say who he was. Brom never met Arya.. Arya was in a deep sleep when Eragon found her. Honestly, not the best movie I’ve watched.. The ending is nothing like the ending of the book. I’m quite disappointed..
